We all knew this would happen someday.
Ever since Boston Dynamics debuted their robot dogs, people have suspected that machines of this nature would be used for evil.
They were already spotted joining the NYPD and using flamethrowers. And now, it appears that they’ve gotten into the hands of the Chinese government, who appear to have attached guns to them.

In this clip, a Chinese People’s Liberation Army soldier can be seen walking accompanied by a robot dog with a gun on its back. According to OP, this was to be used as part of a China-Cambodia joint military exercise in Cambodia, though its actual purpose in this exercise is unclear.
According to Futurism, the gun dogs weren’t actually used in the exercise, but that hasn’t stopped the world from collectively shitting their pants about their potential applications in the battlefield.
I’ve played video games where this shit gives me nightmares and of course the human race needs to invent this. https://t.co/lYcTTUrqvJ

Just in case you thought we were being outpaced by China on the gun dog front, don’t worry, because the U.S. has been trying out these gunslinging pups as well.
What a world.
